Last fall my colleagues Leonard David, Laura Delgado Lopez, Jose Luis Galache and I each prepared a case study of media coverage and public response to a report about a near-Earth asteroid. We presented these case studies at a communication workshop conducted for the International Asteroid Warning Network (IAWN) in September 2014.
